What's in a name?

USA TODAY reports on the latest Left Coast "crisis."

The controversy over whether the Anaheim Angels can change their name goes before Orange County Superior Court in Santa Ana, Calif., on Friday.

The city of Anaheim will make arguments for a preliminary injunction to keep the Angels from changing their name — for marketing reasons — to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

Stymied in his efforts to physically move the team to the West Coast, Minnesota Vikings owner Red McCombs announced today that he has changed the name of his NFL franchise.Effectively immediately, the football team will be known as the Los Angeles Vikings of Minnesota.
